Our Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Kerry Shalders

Dr Shalders graduated from Nottingham Medical School in 1997 and completed her specialist Dermatology training in London and the West Midlands region, gaining entry onto the Specialist Register in 2009. She has been working as a Consultant Dermatologist in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire for over 14 years. Dr Shalders is passionate about bringing care closer to home for patients and alongside her main role at North West Anglia Hospitals, she has various roles in the Community supporting skin care for patients closer to home.

Dr Paolo Fargnoli

Dr Paolo Fargnoli graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1993. He grew up in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), he is Irish-Italian and moved to the UK immediately after graduating in South Africa. He completed his GP training in Bury St Edmunds, before taking up a partnership in the village of Buckden in 2000. He studied for his Dermatology credentials with the University of Wales at Cardiff Dermatology Department and qualified as a GPWSI in Dermatology in 1999. He has worked in West Suffolk Dermatology Department, Newmarket and Addenbrookes Dermatology department, before finally resting in West Cambridge region. Spending time with Cedric Banfield Consultant Dermatologist at Hinchingbrooke hospital. Since then he has grown the community Dermatology practice, taken on other projects in the Dermatology local healthcare arena for Huntingdonshire, as well as other ventures (Vasectomy and Lymphoedema to name a few). He has enjoyed the past 20 years, providing community Dermatology services to the local population and plans to continue this service for another 10 years!

Dr Anna Trigell

Dr Trigell qualified from St.Mary’s Medical School in London in 1999 after completing her degree in Experimental Psychology at St.Edmund Hall, Oxford.  She obtained her Diploma in Clinical Dermatology in 2002 from Queen Mary Westfield in London.  She has been working as a GP and dermatology specialist in Cambridgeshire since 2004.  She currently divides her time between dermatology, aesthetics and prison medicine. 

Dr Tim Mears

Dr Mears qualified in 1989 from University College Hospital, London and completed his General Practice training in 1996, he also completed his Diploma in Practical Dermatology at this time. He has been working as a General Practitioner in St Neots since 1996, where he has also been working as a GP specialist in Dermatology and Minor Surgery.

Dr Mike Henchy

Dr Henchy works as a sessional GP and looks after a large amount of vasectomy work, he also trains and mentors fellow clinicians in the completion of vasectomies.

Dr Vicki Clark

Dr Clark works part time as a GP at Nuffield Road Medical Practice in Cambridge two days a week and fills the rest of her time with Dermatology.

Dr Friya Bhatti

Dr Bhatti graduated from University of Leicester in 2006 and currently works as a GP in Cambridgeshire. She completed her post graduate diploma in Practical Dermatology and enjoys working as a GP with a special interest in Dermatology.  

Dr Mina Rizkallah

Dr Mina Rizkallah graduated in 2009 with MbChB from Egypt. Then started general surgical training in Cairo, before moving to the UK where he completed his GP training, in Cambridgeshire in 2020. He joined Buckden and Little Paxton Surgeries in 2021 as a GP Partner and started working with the team in Community Dermatology. He became a member of the Association of Primary Care Surgeons, following the completion of Vasectomy training, currently performs Vasectomies and is working towards completing his Dermatology diploma with the University of south Wales. 

Our Specialist Nurses

Rebecca Penzer-Hick

Rebecca Penzer-Hick, is an experienced Dermatology Specialist Nurse that has worked in a variety of different settings. These include hospital services, specialist community nursing services and Universities in research, development and teaching roles. Her main areas of Clinical interest are helping patients with Chronic skin conditions such as Eczema, Psoriasis or Acne. As well as working clinically, she is a Clinical Lecturer on the Masters in Clinical Dermatology programme at the University of Hertfordshire. She is the President of the British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG). In 2009 she was awarded The Stone Award- the BDNG award for significant contribution to Dermatological nursing. In her spare time she is learning to play the piano and loves going away for holidays in her camper van!

Kathy Radley

Kathy Radley qualified as  a nurse in 1988 and started her career in dermatology in 1990.  She has relocated many times due to family commitments and has worked in numerous dermatology teams both in outpatient and inpatient settings as well as a community project.  She has split her time between clinical and academic practice since 2012, initially at the University of Hull, and currently at the University of Hertfordshire where she is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Postgraduate Medicine.  Her clinical skills focus on supporting patients with chronic inflammatory skin conditions.  Her children have grown up and flown the nest and she enjoys singing in a local choir, playing the saxophone and running regularly. 

Paula Read

Paula qualified as a nurse in 2001, and for the last 10 years has worked within the Lymphoedema speciality. She really enjoys working with the team at Buckden and Little Paxton surgeries. She lives in Buckden with my husband, 2 children and her dog.
